Last month the spotlight shone on The One Stop Shop in Motherwell. They where in need of help as their funding stopped from the Scottish government and they will be closing their free of charge services to families and individuals from North & South Lanarkshire. We backed them to help raise awareness and get signatures towards a campaign to save the service. At the time of publishing this podcast sadly it does not look good. You can still follow the story in our latest news section and we will leave a link to Karen Nobles Facebook page.

Now onto this months Spotlight and we shine the focus onto The British Heart Foundation. A charity which  are the UK's number one heart charity and through 50 years of funding cutting edge research they have made a big difference to people's lives.

But the landscape of heart disease is changing. More people survive a heart attack than ever before, and that combined with an ageing population means more people are now living with heart disease. For every £1 they raise BHF spend 78p on life saving research and support for heart patients. As always you can get all the information from the spotlight page. just follow the links in the show notes or via the AcrossLanarkshire  homepage.
